If you’ve ever been on the search for ways to place your online content behind a closed door area, then you have most likely come across membership site options. If you’ve widened your search to included online courses or e-learning, then you may have entered the realm of LMS’s.
LMS stands for Learning Management System. While membership sites are more widely known than LMS’s, they also provide a way to place your premium content in an area where people at least have to register to access that content.
There are notable commonalities and differences between them, and those are diverse enough that you have to decide which features are most important to you. Therefore, knowing what a membership site does verses what an LMS offers is important to know.
Especially if you are planning on charging people to view your content, then you would want to get off to a good start that will be a long term solution. This is because it can be a pain to migrate your data and customer info onto a new and better solution after the fact.
In this recording, I go into the differences between the two options. I give you a back story as to how I started my search and also my discovery into the world of LMS platforms. I also tell you which solutions – actual brands – I tried (I tried both the membership site and the LMS), and I go into detail on my experiences with working with both.
This recording will give you an idea of which solution might be better for your situation without having to go through the experience of trial and error yourself. Because I’ve already done that for you! At the very least, I shortened the learning curve 😉
Listen to the below recording and let me know which solution you chose.
